Dr. Zappy has over 10 years of experience in starting and running his own, successful chiropractic business and massage therapy school.
Education and Academic Achievements: Prior to opening his own practice, Dr. Zappy started his career as a Massage Therapist at the young age of 17 while attending a Massage Therapy school that was owned and operated by his mother, Robyn Zappy. After graduating from Massage School he dove right into teaching Massage Therapy to others and providing Massage Therapy services to clients. Using his skills in teaching, technique, and business he was able to pay his way through college and graduate school without debt. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a Focus in Biology at Neumann University in 2010. He then went on to Graduate School to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic medicine (DC) and a Master's Degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition (MSACN) from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in 2013.
Attesting to his leadership skills; while attending school at NYCC, Dr. Zappy became president of the Sports Science and Human Performance club (SSHP), leading representative for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), and, with the help of former Los Angeles Clippers Chiropractor (’06-’09) and Arizona Diamondbacks Consultant, Dr. Craig Liebenson, started a program at NYCC called Rehab to Performance (R2P). R2P is now in every Chiropractic school in the US, Canada, and in some Physical Therapy Schools.
Business Experience: Continuing to leverage his skills in teaching, technique, and business Dr. Zappy was able to graduate from both undergraduate studies and graduate studies debt free allowing him to not waste any time opening his private practice immediately after graduating from school. Dr. Zappy opened The Wellness Center of Chester County debt free, without the need for a business loan and has built it into a successful and expanding private practice.
Dr. Zappy also currently owns and operates a Massage Therapy school where he can use his medical knowledge to help students attempting to attain their License in Pennsylvania. He is the owner, director, and instructor of The Wellness Institute of Chester County. He has developed curricula, formed continuing education programs, and helped dozens of students graduate, get licensed, and start successful Massage Therapy practices. Dr. Zappy is also a published author and has written a book on “Solving Pain without medication or surgery” geared to educating patients about taking an active role in their long term health.
Additionally, in his medical practice at The Wellness Center of Chester County, over the past 10 years of practice Dr. Zappy has trained multiple Doctors, Nutritionists, Massage Therapists, Exercise Therapists, Personal Trainers, and Front Desk staff who have all gone off to open their own successful practices. He knows what it takes to effectively train successful business owners. Over the years of private practice, training, teaching, and mentoring in his own practice and at his Massage Therapy school he has compiled his best advice, most effective marketing practices, efficient business operations, and employee management tools to offer to the public. He's compiled everything a determined therapist needs to know to own, operate, and run an efficient, scalable business.
