Cancer massage, also known as oncology massage, is a specialized form of massage therapy that is tailored to the needs of people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Cancer massage is designed to help alleviate some of the physical and emotional side effects of cancer and its treatments, such as pain, anxiety, fatigue, and nausea. In this class you will learn the benefits, contraindications, and cautions of massage for cancer patients.

In this interactive hands-on BASIC Introductory class, you will learn:

1. Description of the Modality

2. Account of its historical development

3. Benefits & Contraindications

4. Specific techniques for basic training

Please wear comfortable flexible clothing. Bring a set of sheets, pillowcase or face cradle cover, blanket, and pump bottle with your preferred lotion or cream.

Certificates of completion will be issued at the end of the class. Please use the name you want on your certificate when you register.

You Do NOT need to bring a table, we have plenty!

This class will be with current massage students at the WIofCC however only licensed massage therapists will earn continuing education credits.
