Instructor: Dr. Joseph Zappy, DC MSACN- Doctor Zappy holds a Master’s degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition, Board Certification in Physiotherapy, Certifications in ART, SFMA, FMS, Anatomy Trains, T=R, R2P, Massage Therapy, and RotA in addition to his Doctorate.

Dr. Zappy is an Instructor and owner of The Wellness Institute of Chester County, a local Massage Therapy School in Exton Pa, and has worked in the Massage Therapy industry for 20+ years.


Summary:

TMJ (temporomandibular joint) massage techniques aim to alleviate discomfort and improve function in the jaw joint and surrounding muscles. These techniques typically involve gentle manipulation of the muscles around the jaw, face, and neck to release tension, increase circulation, and promote relaxation.


What you will learn in this course:

• Muscles of the TMJ Joint & their primary function

• Fascial Lines connected to the muscles of the TMJ

• Structure and Function of the TMJ (Ball & Socket)

• How to evaluate and assess

• Treatment plan techniques

• What are the causes of TMJ Dysfunction

• Intraoral manipulation techniques [Exam Gloves Required]

Please Bring: You will need a pair of Exam gloves to participate in this class, notebook, pen or pencil

You Do NOT need to bring a table, we have plenty!

Certificates will be issued upon completion of the class/workshop. Please use the name you want on your certificate when registering and the email address you want notifications sent to.
